OUR STORY

Somethings are important in life, I believe that celebration is one of them. I started baking when I was very young. There are short clips of home videos where I am licking my fingers and frosting cupcakes for my friends in preschool. Some would consider that baking, some wouldn’t, to each their own. For those who don’t consider that training I’ll divulge a little more of my personal story. I was in an accident in 2014 that shattered both of my legs and left me living in my parents basement. I was struggling with independence and ability to express myself without the use of my legs. This lent me to find my creative outlet, baking. I started playing with flavors and eventually made a gorgeous s’mores cake that changed the way I thought about my abilities. I could, in fact, do something for myself. I spent about a year in recovery, learning how to walk and how to combine ingredients to make delicious baked goods. Each recipe a victory and a celebration. I learned that Cake is Important, small victories are important, and above all that every celebration (big or small) should have cake involved. So, now it is my goal to help others enjoy moments in their lives with cake!
